A little bit more about me
So as mentioned I've been in the industry for over 10 years. It all started out when I created a development agency back in 2004. It was here that I first started working on ecommerce projects and I admit I was hooked.
From there one of my clients was Black Milk Clothing and if you know of them you know they boomed like crazy. So I left my agency to go help those guys conquer the world **literally they pretty much did**. Here I wrote custom code to handle scale, worked with Interspire + Shopify and even pioneered and developed the first social media hash tagging system.
Fast forward a bit and I move on to The PAS Group who run women's labels such as Review and Metalicus. It was here I really dove in to project management at a corporate level. The result was managing and deploying one of the cleanest and most reliable Magento Enterprise projects I think I have ever seen, the build, theme, scaling and module loading systems are all world class level.
I took a little bit of a different direction after that and used my development skills to build out one of the most successful Shopify App's to date. Edit Order as it was and is still known under the company that aquired it, helps merchants on the shopify platform perform returns, exchanges and many other basic functions that one would expect in the core of an ecommerce solution.
Finally, the last leg of my journey to where I am now was working for Culture Kings originally as Head of Ecommerce and then as Chief Operations Officer. It was here that I worked with the biggest day to day challenges of running one of Australia's largest ecommerce sites.
So that leaves me where I am today and that is working relentlessly on a business idea I have. I do however love working with unique problems and jumping in to code, so I've set up this booking site as a way to keep my hands on the pulse and hopefully help some people along the way - plus the income stream is always helpful.
